The Water Cycle

Today we learnt about the water cycle. We made a terrarium to experiment and watch the water cycle, because Miss Matich can't make a world.

We want to see if our terrariums can show us the water cycle.
We learnt some words like condensation. This is like the water on the mirror after a hot shower. We also learnt precipitation, which is like raining. We also learnt evaporation, which is like a jug boiling. The water heats up on earth and goes up into the clouds!

We defined the water cycle as movement of water on Earth.
We made some predictions about our terrariums. We've covered with glad wrap so we can see the condensation if there is any!

  2. It was fun making the terrarium and I think that the next day when we see the little terrarium it will be all fogged up

  3. I'm getting more and more connected to water. It is interesting by just making a terrarium you can see a mini version of the water cycle. I found that really clever.
All this information is making sense now. I am learning heaps of scientific words this term.
    Making terrariums is FUN!!!
I can't wait to see what's in stock of our learning next.
