More Term 4 Inquiry Action
Some more action!
Well done to these two for contacting Constable Blue and organising new jackets and signs. Blue organised with the council to get new signs made. The contractor brought them to school today and he said our old ones were some of the worst he has seen. Lucky we have these two safety officers in charge of making Maungaraki safer.
Well done you two!

Learning Successes and Next Steps
Think about your year.
What have been your successes? They could be literacy, maths, inquiry, spelling OR they could be a social success, a managing self, a value success. What are you really proud of?
And, remember, we’re always learning. So what’s next for you?
Think about personal goals as well as school goals.

Reading and Writing Maps
Over the past week, we have been learning some new Mathematics vocabulary.
Clockwise, Anticlockwise, North, South, East, West, Left, Right, Rotate, Translate are some to name a few.
We then started at the flag pole and wrote instructions for others in our class to follow.
We rated the instructions and wrote some feedback for the writer. We then gave them back to the writer so they could evaluate their instructions. It was interesting to see two different people giving different types of feedback on the same instructions.

The slimy snake slivered slowly into a snake habitat to slumber. Slowly the snake slivered into a sandal and suddenly the snake shouted SSS! Then a person heard the snake and killed it with a knife. By Max
Sloths, Snails, Salmon, Spiders, Snapper some Squirrels stare... suspense smoking the scene. Small sweetheart sloths sleep sweetly, salmon swish, smash, smosh! Surrounding smelly snapper smiling, surprised something so small suddenly swum stupidly in the sacred, scintillating, secretive smashing swimming waters. Squeak! Squeak! What we did today.
Today as part of World Kindness day I made this presentation with Sam and Josh. It is all about what Nikau Syndicate have done this year. We got all of the pictures of the Rooms 10, 9, 8 and 7 blogs. We did this instead of going to Western Zone Athletics. Also congratulations to all of those people who made it into Interzones.
Enjoy the presentation!

World Kindness Day.
Today, we celebrated World Kindness Day in style.
We made people in the community smile by making placards and walking up the road and waving them as cars drove past.
We got 37 hoots and A LOT of smiles.
We also went and knocked on Mrs Evans door and wished her a happy day. You can see the photo below of us standing together outside her office.

What kind gesture have you done for someone today?
Or anyday.
We talked about the idea of 'paying it forward' and what a kindness cycle is. You don't have to spend money to be kind.
