Some combined learning art...

Today we got to spend time with the lovely Mrs Fox!
We got produce our own product packaging.
Some of the products were chocolate chips, licorice allsorts, washing powder, dog food and banana chips.
We combined three things, geometry by using nets, persuasive writing on why would the customer want to buy it and a hint of art.
We got into groups and began to start filling out a sheet about three products we were considering on doing. We chose our product and began filling out another sheet of why we were passionate about it. Everyone got what they wanted and then we started to plan the packaging of the product. We got inspired by websites - that helped A LOT. Then we looked at other sorts of packaging nets in real life. Soon we could start drawing the net of the product
.

Some of the features we could put in our product were...

  • Product name
  • Persuasive Paragraph
  • Bar codes
When we cut it up and taped the pieces, it looked spiffy as. The net designs turned out into real masterpieces.

Some of us might get in to marketing some day!

Huge thanks to Mrs Fox.
