Have you ever seen a bird sit on a power line making
you feel jealous when you hold an electric fence and you get fried? And still
you wonder what the secret behind this bird’s tough feet. Well, you’ll soon find out.

What is an electric shock? A electric shock is a shock
of energy going through your body, which can happen by holding an electric
fence or an power line (that’s if you can reach). But, this can be deflected by
holding rubber, plastic, and wood. That’s why you can see rubber on the ends of the power
lines and wood on the poles of power lines so when you lean on a power lines
you wont get fried.
Circuits
What is a circuit? A circuit is a full connection from
head to toe. This can be broken by taking any piece of the circuit away,
stopping the flow of electricity. Power lines are working circuits.
How can birds sit on power lines?
The real secret behind this mystery is that actually
the bird hasn’t made a
circuit. But, if a large bird puts it’s wing on another cable while it is sitting on one
power line, it will get electrocuted.
