Our Water journey as a water molecule.

On Tuesday, we discovered the water journey.  We played a game to help us to see how the water moves around the world.  There were nine stations and three dice. In our books there were three columns so we could record our water journey. On the first column it was where we started, the next column was where we were heading to next, the last column was how we got there using some scientific words. Some of these words were precipitation, evaporation, and other movement words describing the water cycle. How the game works is that all of the class start on a station and we roll one of the dice. Miss Matich put all the possibilities on a card in every station and each possibility was listed 1-6. The number that we rolled on the dice told us where we were going to next. We had to think about how we got there. For example, you might've started in the cloud and precipitated into the river. Then you might've flowed down the river to be drunken by an animal.
It was an awesome learning activity. I found that game really cool because you go the experience of being water.

  1. This sounds like a great game. A great way to put your water cycle learning to use in another context. Nice explanation too, Neha and Sam! A wee comment - I find that font a bit tricky to read - it might just be my old eyes though! I love looking at your class blog and reading about what you are all learning. I'm learning by reading about your learning. Ka pai!

  2. Most of the time I got stuck in ground water.
    It was annoying and funny.
