Home learning Week 5-6

Ruma Iwa’s Home Learning - Term 3, Week 5-6
Handed out: Friday the 22nd of August    Due: Friday the 29th of August

We have been doing some work around the words you’re and your because we sometimes get the two confused.

Circle/Highlight the correct word in each statement:

1) I believe that these chocolate chip cookies are (you, your, yours, you're).

2) Please use your napkin when (you, your, yours, you're) eating lunch.

3) Did (you, your, yours, you're) injure (you, your, yours, you're) ankle when you fell?

4) Since (you, your, yours, you're) late, we had to start without you.

5) Please wave at me when (you, your, yours, you're) leave.

6) (You, Your, Yours, You're) the greatest student. I’m so lucky to have you in our class.

7) (You, Your, Yours, You're) an awesome friend.

Your second task this week is to write a letter to...YOURSELF!
So, over this past week, we have been thinking about learning celebrations, proud moments and next steps to share with our families next week. But, what do you need to tell yourself? Your homework task this week is to take a moment to think about the person who entered Ruma Iwa in February of this year, 6 months ago.

Topics you can include:
- What are you proud of?
- Do you have any regrets so far?
- What’s something you really want to work hard at by the end of the year?
- What are your successes?
- Do you have any frustrations or worries?
- Are you happy with your friendships?
- What goals do you have over the next few months?
- Any kind words to yourself?
- Any serious words to yourself?
- What else? You choose.

Note:
- This writing task should be half a page - to a page, size 12 font.
- You can hand write it or add it to the end of your google doc.
- This document will be kept private between you and me. You are welcome to share your home learning with others, but remember that when you share, anyone who has access to their folders can view your work too.

Happy writing,
Miss Matich
